Women over 50; Cooperative Small Farm

I'm a 62 yr old woman, single and farm-hardy. I raise and train horses now on 5 beautifully maintained acres. It is not set up for multiple housing, and it isn't as efficient of a home as I would like.

I'm looking for people and ideas to help form a new, small farm community. From 2 women up to 6, or + women who are practical yet liberal. All skills are welcome -- some folk prefer gardens, some prefer cooking, etc. Some have money and some have more skills. It's all good.

I have some resources and with other women could create a homestead "near" a town. A large veggie garden, a few chickens, fruit trees of different varieties, floral gardens, a pond (creek, river?). Separate living spaces. Shared canning kitchen, shared farm tools. Animals: Well behaved dogs, cats. Sheep, a steer(?) and horses. Barn and well-planned corrals. Coquille, Eugene, Prineville, Southern Oregon. I'm fairly open to looking at locations.

e-mail me at n.caballera@yahoo.com or respond here. I'm pretty sure other flower children are looking for a better, more ecological and fun, active retirement community in a natural setting. BTW, I like to go to The Oregon Country Fair (boothmember for years), Shakespeare, Music under the Stars, Michael Franti, and horse shows and dancing.
